According to the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel, one of the four beloved racing sausages of the baseball Brewers has gone missing.
The sausage in question is Guido, pictured above to the far left, and was last seen at the Milwaukee Curling Club’s new location in Cedarburg during a beer-tasting fundraiser. The seven-foot costume was not actually intended to be used for the event. It was only there for storage purposes.
But with the hustle and bustle (and not to mention drink after drink) of the customers, it someone managed to grab the $3,000 costume and wear it for the remainder of the night. Of course it brought a few laughs. Who wouldn’t want to party and have a few brews with a giant sausage, right?
The Guido in question then decided to take a stroll to other establishments, according o the Journal Sentinel:
“A witness saw the sausage walk out of the south door about 7:45 p.m., Cedarburg police Detective Jeff Vahsholtz said Wednesday. The Italian walked into TJ Ryan’s in Cedarburg an hour later and also made an appearance around midnight at The Roadhouse Bar and Grill.”
Unfortunately for Klement, the sausage company who owns the four-pack of sausages, the costume was not returned and left no links to its whereabouts. Now everyone is on the lookout for the culprit. Mustard Grill All American Mustards is even offering a reward for finding Guido: a year’s supply of their mustard.
Here’s hoping that the sausage is found, especially since baseball season is drawing near.
