Another week and another hilarious tweeter who constantly makes us laugh. So sit down, grab a cold one and a hot thing as we spend ten with this week’s tweeter, the hilarious @thesulk

Alec Sulkin is a writer who has many hats to wear in the land of comedy. He has written for television shows, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, 85th Oscars award ceremony and is currently in pre-production of  the freshly penned show Dads.

He is also an actor who has worked on the widely successful The Family Guy, The Cleveland Show as well as a cavalcade of cartoon comedy. Work on The Family Guy has resulted in being nominated 3 times for an Emmy.

On Twitter we have found Alec to be a constant manipulator of word play and twisting common everyday thoughts into original ideas that make us laugh. He writes jokes with a bravado that I see it has a take me or leave me stance.

As you will see from a snippet of tweets below and the mentioned interview you will see, if not already, why Alec Sulkin is where he is today.

Here’s some tweets to give you a quick brief, followed by an insightful opener and a plethora of questions he graciously answered below.

Now that you have a better insight let’s knuckle down and peek into the tweeter that is…

We all have our own reasons for doing it though why did you start tweeting?

I started tweeting because I was bored. I had just gotten out of a relationship and I had time on my hands

What song best describes your tweeting style?

“Your Possible Pasts” by Pink Floyd. So sad.

What superhero do you like and why?

I like the Hulk. He’s strong, angry, and he sounds like the sulk. I’m weak and angry.

What’s a moment on Twitter that you got excited about?

I got excited when I discovered I was on the Twitter Recommends page.

Do you have any rules for yourself on Twitter?

I have no rules. I hate when people say you should do this or not do that. You’re already being a dick when you do that. Comedy has no rules. People say, “Don’t do rape jokes” or “Don’t do gay jokes”, well fuck you. Who the hell are you to tell people what to do? Comedy isn’t about rigid guidelines. Frankly, if you can make a rape joke funny, great job. I’d like to read it.

What are the determining factors to follow someone?

I follow people for many reasons. I follow them if they’re funny, if they’re my friends, if they’re a celeb who follows me, or if they ask nicely!

We all have favorites though who are your top 5 tweeters that you check for when you’re online?

Top 5 tweeters in no particular order: @juliussharpe @garyjanetti @robdelaney @dearanyone @hihough

Chocolate or candy?

Milky Way

What’s your opinion on @’s?

Don’t love @’s. I like a clean timeline.

How much of your day do you dedicate to twitter?

Less and less. Now maybe 5 minutes. Used to be more.

If you were an animal what would you be and why?

I’d be a cat so I could be a dick.

Name one actor you would love to get naughty with?

None. I dislike actors

Which is the best vacation you have ever been on?

Jamaica, high school, stoned, drunk, tan, pool.

What is your biggest peeve about Twitter?

I have no beef with Twitter. It’s been good to me.

What are you excessively obsessive-compulsive about?

Being on time. I hate being late and I hate when people and things are late. You’re not the queen of England. Be on time.

What can totally impress you?

Great singing and great athletes. I can’t do either. I’m actually pretty easily impressed.

If your life was a book, how would you want it to end?

On page 2. I hate reading.

Do you like texting or talking on the phone?

Texting! God, please don’t call me ever.

More followers or solid base of friends?

I’ll take friends. (followers)

Which one television character do you wish you could be?

Tom Brady.

What is your favorite swear word?

What is your favorite part of the day and why?

The minute I’m done working.

If we were a couple and we had a fight, how would you try to patch things up?

I wouldn’t. If you want to leave, that’s your choice. There are other “yous” waiting to take your place.

What is the most successful pickup line you have ever used / heard?

Not so much a line but a credo: call pretty girls smart and smart girls pretty. I tweeted that a couple of years ago.

Define Twitter in a sentence.

Twitter is stand up for sit downs.
